We stay one day in Dieppe. On Sunday, we bring Johannes and Jannik to the train station and sail to Saint-Valery-en-Caux. We can only enter there around high tide (for more mistakes we made with the tide here, stay tuned) so we cannot get around the fact that we need to go against the current. At some point, the wind drops a bit, but I see that our speed over ground is still 1.5 knots, so everything is fine. Except that this is our speed backwards… After I notice this we turn on the motor. When we have nearly reached the harbour of Saint-Valery, some very dark clouds gather before us. They include a few lightning strikes but it doesn’t seem much so we continue. The clouds dissolve after a bit of rain and all is well.

Saint-Valery-en-Caux is a beautiful place, and we stay there for a week (mostly by force of the winds and water but we enjoy it regardless).
