The trip from Boulogne-sur-Mer to le Tréport passes quite smoothly. It’s 43 sea miles but we start early and arrive in the afternoon. The sunrise is beautiful, the winds are strong but steady and a porpoise comes to say hi. We arrive content but hungry and fill ourselves with waffles, crêpes and fries.

The next day we do groceries, a bit of cleaning (a bottle of sunflower oil had emptied itself in our pots and pans cupboard during the sailing) and we meet a cat on the dock wearing a tie.

In the afternoon we sail to Dieppe, which is not that far but the wind is precisely against us, so it takes some four hours. At arrival time the sun sets and the wind drops, but the last light on the church on the cliffs is a beautiful sight.
